Chennai: State finance minister Thangam Thennarasu said on Wednesday that the manufacturing sector emerged as the key growth engine of the state's economy, propelling the state to a robust 16% growth in 2024-25.The sector pushed the state's gross state domestic product (GSDP) to Rs 31.19 lakh crore and the state's economy marked a sharp rise to Rs 26.88 lakh crore in 2023-24, he said.Speaking to reporters in the secretariat, Thangam Thennarasu cited the REserve Bank of India's Handbook of Statistics on Indian States 2024 -25 released recently, and
